Q: Hey Malcom X! Why did you tell people that if they push you push back?
A: Because we as people have rights and we need to show them that we are as equal as any of them.
Q: Alright. If you could, would you do the sit in with those students?
A: Yes, but I would have done it a little different and let me tell you why. I would have done it different because I wouldn’t have let them throw food at me or throw me out and beat me on the street because we are all equal even if we are a different color it leads more into the fairness and equality.
Q: At any time did u agree with what Martin Luther King Jr said, ‘’let them hit you and don’t fight back in any way’’?
A: Well, I was starting to agree with him but once I heard about all of these beatings I thought about it for a very long time and then it came to me and I said you know what don’t let them hit you if they hit you, you hit right back.
Q: Interesting...so last question. Have you ever thought about giving up at any point in time?
A: No, I never thought about giving up at all I said to myself every day things will get better for all of us we will have rights and will be equal and I didn’t just do it for me I put hard work in for all of us and everybody put hard work into this whole thing and I’m very proud.
